Tunis-led Fellowship a First-of-its-Kind
Four-year, $360,000 contribution funding deep research that will lead to better care for children and families across Canada and around the world
Building on more than a century of philanthropy in Ottawa, Tunis Shriners are turning local fundraising into global impact.
A new Fellowship into metabolic and genetic bone disorders will lead to deep research and better care for children and families around the world.
Children like Ella Mae Nicholas of Pembroke.
Ella Mae was born with a condition commonly referred to as brittle bone disease. Her father, Ryan, had it, too. And he says funded research like that which the Tunis is supporting is giving his daughter a shot at an easier journey than he had growing up.
The Fellowship will be hosted over four years at CHEO and Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada in Montréal.
